Maria Francisco
Health Systems & Equity Team Lead (Results for Development)
Ms. Francisco is a health systems specialist and senior advisor who brings more than 20 years of experience to her position as MCSP’s Health Systems & Equity Team Lead. Over two decades, she has managed, designed and implemented field-based health programs and global health initiatives focused on improving local health systems performance, promoting greater investment in health priorities, and expanding equitable service coverage.
Previously, Ms. Francisco served in USAID Missions in Kenya and Vietnam as a Senior Health Systems Strengthening Advisor, and in a director and/or advisory roles for health systems strengthening (HSS) programs in Cambodia and under USAID/URC’s Quality Assurance Project. As a senior technical advisor to USAID/Washington’s Bureau for Global Health, she is a recognized champion for child survival and community-based programming. She has served as the Contracts Officer Representative for the Bureau’s flagship child health initiatives and on global tasks teams and interagency technical working groups for community based health, GAVI HSS, and the Partnership for Maternal Newborn and Child Health.
