On April 13th, more than 1,000 policymakers, researchers, practitioners and advocates from around the world gathered at the Wilson Center to discuss existing challenges and practical solutions in reaching under-served women.
Speakers — including MCSP Director Dr. Koki Agarwal and Dr. Ariel Pablos-Méndez, USAID Assistant Administrator for Global Health — facilitated the conversation begun last fall in Mexico City, focusing on how best to sustain momentum for improved policy and programs launched at the Global Maternal Newborn Health Conference. In anticipation of the next major gathering of advocates for women and child at the Women Deliver conference, attendees engaged in a review of progress and priorities for the maternal and newborn health community through 2030.
