Fostering Use of Routine Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health Data at the Point of Care

Publish Date: November 2019
Author: MCSP

Encouraging better use of health management information system data for decision-making is a challenge at the heart of efforts to improve access to and quality of reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health services at the community, facility, district/regional, and national levels. MCSP explored methods to encourage data use at the point of care (facility and community) and identified data dashboards as a promising approach for testing across supported countries. This paper describes MCSP’s experience working with country partners to design and implement health data dashboards across 20 countries, including, the results achieved and recommendations moving forward.
