Helping Babies Survive Asia Regional Workshop: Meeting Report

The Helping Babies Survive Asia Regional Workshop was held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on April 8-13, 2015. The workshop brought together representatives from Ministries of Health, as well as clinicians, national maternal and newborn trainers, program managers, and technical advisors from regional and global maternal and newborn health development partners. The workshop’s goals were to:

a) introduce participants to the Essential Care for Every Baby (ECEB) and Essential Care for Small Babies (ECSB) newborn health training curricula;

b) facilitate discussions on overall health system bottlenecks; and

c) identify pragmatic solutions for strengthening newborn care training in Asia.
